
Sharp Named IFL Player of the Week

The Indoor Football League (IFL) announced on Wednesday that Wichita Wild kick returner Jake Sharp has been named league Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 9. Sharp's performance helped the Wild to their first victory of the season and moved their record to 1-5.
Sharp's presence was felt right away as he took the opening kickoff 55 yards for a touchdown. Sharp accumulated 166 yards on just four kick returns in the Wild's 56-32 victory over Amarillo.
Other players recognized this week were James Robinson of Chicago as Offensive Player of the Week and Faleaoga Faumui of Seattle as Defensive Player of the Week.
