'Sharks Welcome Back Five and Add One New Face

Camden, NJ - The Riversharks continue to expand their roster for the 2012 season with the signing of six players. Shea Harris, Lloyd Turner, Zach Hammes, Eddy Camacho and Sean Jarrett will be returning to the team. Joining them is former Bridgeport Bluefish Colin Roberson.

"It is exciting to see our team take shape," said General Manager Adam Lorber. "I am confident that this will be a successful season."

Jersey native Shea Harris returns to the "˜Sharks after initially joining the team in 2010. Last season he played in 11 games and caught the first no-hitter in Riversharks history. He attended Washington Township High School in Sewell, NJ.

Turner will return for another season with the "˜Sharks after receiving the post-season award for top utility player of the Atlantic League. Last year, he represented the Riversharks at the 2011 All-Star game and recorded a .296 BA. This will be his fifth season in the Atlantic League.

Originially drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002, Hammes completed his first season in the Atlantic League with the Riversharks last year. He played in 39 games for the team and recorded a 4.56 ERA.

Camacho will be entering his third season with the Riversharks. In 2004, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Mets. He joined the Atlantic League in 2009 with the Lancaster Barnstormers and in 2010, recorded a 2.68 ERA with the Riversharks.

After pitching in 11 games for the team last season, Jarrett will return to the Riversharks. He was originally drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2006 and played in their farm system for six years. He has recorded a career 3.62 ERA and 202 strikeouts.

Roberson joined the Atlantic League in 2009 and divided his time between the Bridgeport Bluefish and York Revolution. He was initially drafted by the Florida Marlins in 2005 and spent four years playing in their farm system.

The team will play their home opener on Wednesday, May 9 at 7:05 p.m. at Campbell's Field. The Riversharks are also hosting the 2012 Atlantic League All-Star Game, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:05 p.m. To purchase tickets, call 1-866-SHARKS-9.
