
Sharks Roll Past Strikers

After spotting Dayton an early 10-2 lead, the Rochester RazorSharks rolled to their third win in four Premier Basketball League games, 119-104 over the Air Strikers. There were 4,158 on hand at the Blue Cross Arena.
Rochester scored 38 points in the second quarter, their most productive over the last twenty games, to move into a 25 point lead. Center Jared Carter scored a career high 24 points in 26 minutes of action. He was 11 for 13 shooting and added ten rebounds for the double-double.
Todd McCoy scored 16. Mike Williams had 14 with 11 rebounds. Demetrius Howard came off the bench to score 11 and hit three three-point shots in that decisive second quarter. Jerice Crouch had 13 points to go with his team leading five assists.
As a team the Sharks connected on 51% of their shots and outscored Dayton 14-5 in second chance points.
Dayton was led by Quade Milum who scored 23. The Air Strikers actually outscored Rochester in the third and fourth quarters.
Rochester (5-7) continues its second half of the season run for a playoff spot against Saint John (5-5) at the Blue Cross Arena Thursday night. The Mill Rats are holding onto the fourth and final PBL playoff spot. It is a must win for the Sharks.
Dayton (3-12) has the next two weeks off before playing at Lawton-Fort Sill (12-1).
