New York Sharks News Release
The New York Sharks defeated the Bay State Warriors 20-6 last Saturday to earn the title of IWFL Eastern Conference Champions. Both teams came into the game undefeated with identical 8-0 records. New York's trademark defense stopped the powerful Bay State running attack and held the Warriors to under 80 yards in offense. The Sharks used their running game to get on the scoreboard with Virginia Leon scoring one touchdown and Missy Marmorale scoring twice. The Sharks will now go on to play the Sacramento Sirens in the IWFL Championship Game. New York won the championship last year and are looking to repeat.

The New Yorks Sharks will be taking on the Sacramento Sirens in the IWFL Championship Game. The Sirens had defeated the Chicago Force, 47-7 to win the Western Conference crown. The Championship Game will feature the league's best offensive team, the Sirens who average 65 points a game, going against the league's best defensive team, the Sharks who average allowing 1 point per game. Both teams are also undefeated. So something has got to give.
