Sharks Get First Round Bye

New York Sharks News Release


The Sharks came, they sunned, they conquered. Playing 2 games in 3 days in Florida was tough, but New York was up to the task as the Sharks defeated the Miami Fury and the Tampa Bay Terminators this past weekend. The first game featured two undefeated teams, but only New York could make that claim at the end of the day. Read the game day write-up at the Sharks defeated Miami, 20-6.

In the second game, the Sharks shutout the Tampa Bay Terminators, 36-0. For more details about New York's 7th shutout of the season, read the game day write-up.

Sharks Host IWFL Eastern Conference Playoff

By winning the last two games of the season, the New York Sharks have earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs AND home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Sharks will next play on June 28th at August Martin High School against either the Bay State Warriors or the Miami Fury. Kick off time will at 3pm and tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children. Tickets will be available only at the field on the day of the game, there will be no Internet ticket sales for this game.

Sharks Lose Wasilewski

Center Debra Wasilewski is out for the rest of the season. She was injured in the Sharks's victory over the Tampa Bay Terminators on Monday night. Two bones in her right arm were broken and she will be in a cast for about 6 weeks.

New Raffle

Our friends at P. C. Richard and Son have donated more electronic entertainment equipment for another raffle. The winners will be selected at halftime during the IWFL Championship Game on July 12th.
