Corpus Christi Sharks News Release

Corpus Christi Sharks Vice President and General Manager Larry Linde invites Sharks fans from around the Coastal Bend to join the Sharks Front Office staff at Oleander Point this Saturday October 11, 2008 at 9am to help keep Corpus Christi beautiful by cleaning up the beach area.

The Corpus Christi Sharks adopted two areas at Cole Park for the 2008 year. Each month since April, the Sharks organization has been cleaning up the Oleander point area as part of its community involvement program. "This is a program we began at the beginning of the year", said Linde. "When we first started, the beach at Oleander Point was a mess that we thought we could never get cleaned up, but by spending a couple of hours there each month, it's really improved" Linde added that "while its not glamorous work, it leaves you with a great feeling that you've made a difference."

The Sharks would like to invite family, friends, sponsors, and season ticket holders to join them. It's the Sharks way of giving back to the community and thanking them for their continued support. Fans wishing to join the Sharks on Saturday will be provided all the materials necessary for the beach clean up. "All fans need to do is show up", said Linde. "Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Season Tickets for the 2009 af2 season are currently available for as little as $75 per seat. For more information contact the Sharks office at 361-882-9292 or visit us on line at www.ccsharks.com
