Shamrox sign forwards Giles and Clark

CHICAGO, IL October 24, 2006 - The Chicago Shamrox signed forwards Mat Giles and Jason Clark to three-year deals, in preparation for their upcoming season of indoor professional lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) starting January 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sears Centre arena.

Mat Giles, 6'4", 235 lbs. right handed forward has eight years of experience in the NLL and was seventh in league scoring in 2005. The big forward has experience playing for eight different teams and scored nine goals and 15 assists in 2006 for the Edmonton Rush. In 85 career regular season and playoff games, Giles has tallied 99 goals and 81 assists (180 points).

Jason Clark, 5' 10", 180 lbs. has scored 117 goals in seven seasons in the league. In six games for Edmonton in 2006, Clark scored seven goals and 19 assists. His lacrosse resume brings 15 games played for Arizona in 2005 finishing with 13G-9A-22P on the season and 16 games played with Buffalo in 2004, notching 39 points (14G-25A) and 65 loose balls.
