
Seventeen Wranglers Drafted by AFL Teams

AUSTIN- Starting quarterback Lang Campbell and kicker Mark Lewis were among the top 10 players drafted in this year's Dispersal Draft Friday October 26, 2007.
Seventeen teams had the chance to select key players from the rosters of the Austin Wranglers and Nashville Kats with 17 out of the 21 available Wranglers being drafted.
Campbell, the 2007 Austin Wranglers passing leader with 2,279 yards, 41 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions was drafted second overall by the Arizona Rattlers.
Lewis, the 2007 AFL Kicker of the Year, recorded 155 points for the Wranglers in the 2007 season and was taken sixth in the draft by the Columbus Destroyers.
Otis Amey found the end zone 28 times in the 2007 season, second only to Wranglers star Derrick Lewis, and was taken by the new Cleveland based AFL team, formerly the Las Vegas Gladiators.
Delmonico Montgomery, Toure Carter and Mike Williams rounded out the first round selections, going to Kansas City, San Jose and Dallas respectively.
