Seven BayHawks Named to Team USA

ANNAPOLIS, MD. - Attackman Brendan Mundorf, midfielder Matt Mackrides, defensive midfielders Matt Abbott, Dan Burns, and Jeff Reynolds, and defensemen Jesse Bernhardt and Michael Evans were selected to the U.S. National Lacrosse Team's 30-man roster. The seven Bayhawks selections tied for first among the other Major League Lacrosse teams.
The 30 players will convene on June 22nd to prepare for the 2014 MLL All-Star matchup on June 26th. After one final training camp July 6th-9th in Colorado Springs, the roster will be trimmed to a 23-man roster plus two or three alternates for the World Championship. This year's FIL World Championship begins in Denver on July 10th.
"I can't say enough good things about all of the guys who have been a part of this process," said Team USA Head Coach Richie Meade in a statement. "Both the guys who are continuing on and the ones who aren't have been incredible on and off the field since we started working on this process a year and a half ago. You could make a good case for each of them to be on this list, but we are really excited about the group we've put together. We're ready to move from the evaluation phase into the preparation phase as we look ahead to Denver."
