Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, OR - Portland Winterhawks star forward Seth Jarvis made a memory to last a lifetime on Friday evening. The Winnipeg, MB native scored his first professional goal, the eventual game-winning tally, as the Chicago Wolves beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 3-1 on Friday, February 5.
A little over two minutes into the second period, Jarvis jammed in a power play goal from the right slot to make it a 2-0 game in the Wolves AHL season opener.
Jarvis, drafted 13th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, competed at the Hurricanes NHL training camp in January before being sent to their AHL affiliates in Chicago for the start of the 2021 regular season.
The Winterhawks leading scorer from the 2019-20 campaign is expected to return to the Winterhawks for his third season once the WHL's U.S. Division play begins on March 19, 2021.
