
Sequoyah Schools to Host Shock Open Practice on September 3

TAHLEQUAH, OK- Sequoyah graduate Angel Goodrich and the Tulsa Shock will travel to Tahlequah on Tuesday, September 3, to hold a traveling practice at Goodrich's alma mater, Sequoyah High School. The team will tip-off their practice from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sequoyah's The Place Where They Play.
"We are excited to have the Tulsa Shock and Sequoyah's own Angel Goodrich returning to The Place Where They Play," said Marcus Crittenden, Sequoyah Schools' athletic director. "Angel is an excellent role model for our students and an inspiration for our student athletes, especially our girls. We are all so proud of Angel's accomplishments and grateful for her continued relationship with and support of Sequoyah High School."
Doors will open at 11:30 am. Admission is free, and the community is encouraged to attend. School groups are welcome.
"The Shock are a talented team," Crittenden said. "We are looking forward to the game-like atmosphere and know they will put on a great show."
The practice will be followed by a private autograph session for the Sequoyah basketball teams in attendance with the Shock players. Sequoyah students will be given an autographed team picture and be entered into a drawing for Shock merchandise. Tulsa Shock's team mascot, Volt will entertain the crowd.
