
Senators Assign Forward Josh Hennessy And Goaltender Mike Brodeur To Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 22, 2009) - The Ottawa Senators today assigned forward Josh Hennessy and goaltender Mike Brodeur to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Hennessy was held scoreless with no penalty minutes in four games with the Senators while averaging 5:58 of time-on-ice per game following his emergency recall on Dec. 15.
Hennessy has recorded 10 goals and 14 assists with eight penalty minutes in 27 games for Binghamton this season. In 318 career AHL games over five professional seasons, Hennessy has scored 103 goals and added 129 assists while accumulating 197 penalty minutes.
Brodeur made his National Hockey League debut on Dec. 19, stopping 22-of-23 shots to earn his first career victory in Ottawa's 4-1 defeat of the Minnesota Wild.
Brodeur has appeared 15 games this season with Binghamton, posting a 5-4-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.92 goals-against average and an.898 save percentage.
The Calgary native is in his first season with the B-Sens after posting an 18-13-4 record with a 2.45 goals-against average in 38 AHL games with the Rochester Americans in 2008-09. Brodeur also played in eight games for the ECHL's Augusta Lynx last season, posting a 2-4-1 record with a 3.02 goals-against average and.919 save-percentage.
The Binghamton Senators (14-11-3-1, 32 points) are third in the AHL's East Division and next see action on Dec. 26, when they host the Adirondack Phantoms.
