Sekani Francis added to Newark Roster

Newark, NJ - The Newark Express is proud to add Bronx, NY product Sekani Francis to the roster for the 2006-2007 season. Sekani played College basketball for Lehman College in the Bronx for 2 years. While there he earned player of the year in the CUNYAC Conference for the 2005 & 2006 seasons. During the 2005-2006 season, Sekani earned the prestigious Presidents Award.
"Standing 6'10", Sekani brings the added height we've been looking for. With his experience playing in some of the toughest Pro Am and Semi Pro tournaments, against the likes of Samuel Dalembert of the Sixers, and Al Harrington of the Pacers, Francis can more than hold his own. Sekani is known for being a force in the paint, and we expect big things from him. We hope to make things happen for this hard working young man", quoted Co-owner Marsha Blount.
Coach Moore states, "Sekani is hungry, and he knows that we'll do whatever we can, to help him achieve his goal. He just has to produce between the lines". Training camp will begin on October 14th, at the JFK Recreation Center.
