Seattle Storm News Release
SEATTLE, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 - In preparation for the 2007 WNBA playoffs, the Seattle Storm are asking fans of Seattle, "Are You In?"
The "Are You In?" campaign, which launched earlier today, is a campaign designed to rally sports fans across the Puget Sound region as the Storm prepares for the 2007 WNBA playoffs. The Storm are in fourth place in the Western Conference with four regular season games to play. With one more win, the Storm will clinch the final Western Conference playoff spot, their fourth consecutive year of securing a post-season berth.
The Storm are asking fans to step up and show their support by attending at least one of the remaining three home games (Saturday, Aug. 11, Tuesday, Aug. 14, Friday, Aug. 17). To help build momentum heading into the playoffs, the Storm are offering lower-bowl sideline seats for $20.07 (regularly priced at $32) per ticket for the remaining three regular season games.
"This campaign is designed to urge new fans to get âIN' and support the Storm as we wind down the regular season and gear up for the WNBA Playoffs," said Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant. "Our fans have helped to create a real home court advantage for us in the past and we need that now more than ever. Another component of the campaign is to showcase the passion and avidity Storm fans have for their team."
The Storm is also asking fans from around the region to submit videos, essays and photographs to www.storm.wnba.com to show "I'm IN!" with the Storm. Entries will be accepted and displayed on the team's official website, www.storm.wnba.com. Three entries will be chosen as winners of the "I'm IN!" contest. The grand prize winner will win a trip to the Storm's first road playoff game. Airfare, hotel and game tickets will be provided.
In conjunction with the "Are You In?" campaign, the Storm is launching its 2008 season ticket renewal campaign. As in seasons past, the Storm are launching their Season Ticket Renewal campaign at the end of the season.
