Seattle Reign FC Look to Continue Recent Hot Streak against FC Kansas City Saturday

CHICAGO (June 24, 2015) - Jessica Fishlock and Seattle Reign FC will both look to continue their recent hot streak when they host FC Kansas City on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET in a rematch of the 2014 NWSL Championship Game at Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.

Fishlock had a goal and an assist for the second-consecutive match - including the game-winning goal in the 86th minute - as the Reign rallied for a 3-2 road victory over the Boston Breakers in Week 10.

The Wales international, an NWSL Best XI selection in each of the league's first two seasons, now has four goals and three assists in 2015. The four goals in seven matches equals the number of goals Fishlock had in 22 games last year.

Seattle midfielder Kim Little assisted on Fishlock's game-winning goal and added a goal of her own in the 42nd minute to level the match at 1-1 before forward Beverley Yanez tapped in a pass from defender Elli Reed to hand the Reign their first lead of the match in the 66th minute.

The victory Sunday was the first time this season that coach Laura Harvey's side have recovered points from a losing position. Seattle has now taken 11 points from their last five games - the most in the league during that span - and pulled within one point of the Chicago Red Stars at the top of the table.

The Reign have been particularly effective in the second half of games this year and lead the league in both second-half goals (10) and second-half goal difference (+4).

While Seattle has been firing on all cylinders of late, FC Kansas City enters the match looking to jump-start their offense. The Blues have scored more than one goal just once this season and continued that trend in a 1-1 road draw Friday with Portland Thorns FC.

FCKC were forced to settle for the point against the Thorns after it appeared they were set to take all three points from the game after Sarah Hagen scored her first goal of the season for the Blues.

FC Kansas City led 1-0 against a 10-man Portland side in second-half stoppage time when forward Caroline Kastor darted past the Thorns defense and was one-on-one with goalkeeper Michelle Betos , but saw her shot saved.

The Portland goalkeeper then went forward on a corner several minutes later and scored the game tying goal in the 95th minute. Betos is the first goalkeeper in the history of the NWSL to score a goal.

It was also the latest goal scored in an NWSL game this season and meant that FC Kansas City became the second team in the league this year to not secure all three points in a game in which they led after the 90th minute.
