Seattle Mountaineers Face Tough Road Trip

Seattle Mountaineers News Release

The Mountaineers who dropped 8 places in this weeks weekly poll from #12 without losing a game, is a little perplexed. Actually, the Mountaineers had two games scheduled over the weekend against the Washington Raptors team, who is located 25 miles down the road from Seattle, The Raptors cancelled both games on Friday." It would seem on the surface, we were penalize for another team canceling the games with us", stated Coach Sims. But, we cannot control the pollsters, we have a tough road trip to California coming up in which we play 4 ranked teams in 4 days.

The road trip starts on Thursday, against #5 San Francisco, Friday, #8 Clayton/Oakland Showtime, Saturday #14 Sacramento Heat Wave and concluding on Sunday against #16 California Sea Kings. The 6-4, Mountaineers hope to move up in next weeks poll with a good showing on the upcoming road trip.

"I believe our 6-4 record is a little deceiving, stated Coach Sims, we have played nationally ranked opponents, Music City, Lexington Blue Grass Stallions, Kentucky Bison's on the road and played #5 San Francisco twice at home, add in the upcoming road trip with (4) nationally ranked teams and the facts speak for themselves."
