Seattle Mountaineers News Release

The Mountaineers face the #3 ranked team in the American Basketball Association (ABA), the San Francisco "Rumble", for their home opening games this weekend. This is not a new task for the Mountaineers as they have already played nationally ranked teams; Music City Stars, Lexington Blue Grass Stallions and Kentucky Bison's. Upcoming games with nationally ranked teams #7 Clayton Showtime and #23 Sacramento Heat wave arguably the Mountaineers play the toughest schedule in the ABA.

This weekend series will be at Green River Community College: January 2nd at 8:00 pm with a rematch on Sunday, January 3rd at 5:00 pm. The Seattle fans will be treated to seeing the ABA Nation's leading scorer, Tyler Amaya of the Seattle Mountaineers, in action with an average of 35.7 points a game.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.seattle-mountaineers.org.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
