With collegiate baseball action focusing on conference championships today and the NCAA regionals and World Series in the coming weeks, focus also turns to NECBL opening day on June 8th when the newest edition of the Danbury Westerners take the field at Rogers Park at 6:30 pm.
A few old stars from past years will be on the roster this season including the NECBL's 2011 batting champion Andrew Garner. Get up to date info on Andrew and the team with the latest edition of Westerners Round-up.
Remember, Jim Bouton will be the special guest speaker for their 18th Annual Celebrity Breakfast on June 8th at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury at 7:30 am. The Breakfast welcomes members of the 2012 Danbury Westerners to the greater Western CT community, and Mr. Bouton is sure to thrill Westerners fans with stories about his days in the major leagues.
