Bluecats wide receiver and Evansville native Sean Bennett has been chosen as the UIF's Offensive Player of the Week for his 5 touchdown performance in the Evansville Bluecats Week 3 victory over the Lexington Horsemen.

Sean Bennett is an Evansville native and graduate of Harrison High School. Sean played football for Harrison and for the University of Evansville until UE dropped their football program in the spring of 1998. Evansville defeated Lexington last Saturday behind a spectacular game from Bennett. Bennett caught 2 touchdown passes and ran for 3 more as the Bluecats went on to win 57-52.

Bluecats Head Coach Ollie Guidry said, "Sean had an incredible game for us last week and it's good to see him get recognition from the league. He played very well and deserves to be honored for his effort."

Next weekend, the Evansville Bluecats will travel to Omaha and take on the Omaha Beef.
