Dale Jennings Named UIF Offensive Player of the Week in Week One

Bluecats running back Dale Jennings has been honored as the UIF's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Evansville's opening night victory over the Tennessee Valley Raptors.

The Evansville Bluecats defeated Tennessee Valley 53-51 behind Dale Jennings superb offensive effort. Jennings ran for 122 yards on 29 carries and scored four touchdowns. Jennings also recorded 2 pass receptions for 23 more yards of offensive giving him 145 all-purpose yards in the game.

"We're very proud of Dale. He's a great football player and a great person off the field. Dale had a great game and he really deserves this. It's good to see him get recognized for all his hard work." Bluecats Head Coach Ollie Guidry said of Jennings.

This Friday, Dale Jennings and the first place Evansville Bluecats (2-0) will put their undefeated record on the line when they travel south this weekend to take on the Tupelo FireAnts (0-3). Game time is set for Friday, April 8th, at 7:30pm at the BancorpSouth Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Next weekend, the Evansville Bluecats will travel to Omaha and take on the Omaha Beef.

The Bluecats will return home on Saturday April 23rd when they take on the Black Hills Red Dogs at Roberts Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm.
