Florida Seals News Release

Heath Gordon and Jerry Keefe each scored two goals for the Orlando Seals in an 8-4 win over the Miami Manatees on Thursday night at TD Waterhouse Centere. The victory keeps the Seals hopes alive for one of the final playoff spots in WHA2.

Gordon had the lone goal in the first period, before a goal filled second period in which the Seals outscored Miami 5-3. Gordon, who was a college teammate of Keefe's at Providence College, set up Keefe's first goal of the night, that gave the Seals a 4-2 lead midway through the second period.

The Seals play at Macon on Friday night, and need to win that game to keep their playoff hopes alive. Game time is 7:35 p.m. and can be heard at www.IRN.FM.
