Seals Think 'It's Great to Skate' at Ice Factory

ORLANDO – Seals forward Joe Seroski will sign autographs and lace up his skates for the Ice Factory of Central Florida's Great to Skate Day this Saturday in Kissimmee. The Ice Factory's Great to Skate Day is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Don't miss your chance to stock up on Seals stuff this Saturday. The Seals will be selling discounted official team merchandise at the Ice Factory.

STEPHENS TO ATTEND RAIDERS YOUTH HOCKEY ORIENTATION

Seals winger B.J. Stephens will attend the Team Raiders Hockey Club orientation Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Wyndham Orlando Resort on International Drive.

Team Raiders is a competitive youth (Tier II) hockey club offering professional ice hockey training and education in the Kissimmee, Tampa Bay and Daytona areas. Team Raiders is a member of USA Hockey and Statewide Amateur Hockey of Florida, and its teams compete in the Central Florida Hockey League and selected tournaments throughout the season.

WIN SEALS' STUFF AT ORLANDO RAYS GAMES

The Orlando Seals will be providing all of the contest giveaways at the Orlando Rays baseball games Friday, Aug. 15; Saturday, Aug. 16; Friday, Aug. 29 and Saturday, Aug. 30, at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Seals representatives also will have ticket information available at a table on the concourse. First pitch for each of the games is slated for 7:05 p.m.

PAEK TO GOLF IN PUTT-IN ON THE RITZ TOURNAMENT

The Seals new head coach Jim Paek will participate in the Putt-In on the Ritz golf tournament at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes Orlando on Friday, Aug. 29, to help raise money for Children's Miracle Network.

Children's Miracle Network helps to treat more than 250,000 children at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women & Children and Shands Children's Hospital. If you would like to make a donation to Children's Miracle Network on behalf of the Orlando Seals and the WHA2, please visit www.wha2.com/golf_charity_form.htm for a donation form.

Fans who donate $50 will receive a Certificate of Appreciation signed by Paek and the other participating WHA2 coaches. Those who donate $100 also will receive an Autographed Collector's Edition Photo of the participating coaches at the tournament. Fans making a $200 donation will receive the photo, certificate and two ticket vouchers for a weekday game of their choice.

LiPUMA, ANDERSON HELP RAISE MONEY FOR BREVARD HOCKEY

Seals assistant coach Chris LiPuma and Ryan Anderson helped the Brevard Amateur Ice Hockey Association raise $1,800 on Saturday when they played in BAIHA's First Annual Celebrity Hockey Game at the Space Coast IcePlex in Rockledge. LiPuma captained the Jim Rathmann All-Stars and former Florida Gator and Orlando Predator Cal Dixon was the celebrity coach. Team USA Space Coast, which was made up of members of the 2003 Spring Mite team, dispatched the All Stars 5-4.

LiPuma's game-used stick fetched $60 in the auction that benefited BAIHA, and both Seals' stars game-worn All-Star jerseys went for close to $100 apiece.
