Florida Seals News Release

The Orlando Seals have announced a partnership with RDV Sportsplex which will make the Ice Den at RDV Sportsplex the official practice home of the reigning President Cup champions.

The Seals will hold training camp at the Ice Den and all of their regular season practices there as well. All practice sessions will be free and open to the public. The Seals will also host an exhibition game against the Jacksonville Barracudas at the Ice Den on Saturday November 1 at 4 p.m.

"We're glad to be able to expand our program to include RDV Sportsplex Ice Den, which gives us another great venue to promote the Seals," General Manager Brian Fling said. "All of the patrons of the Ice Den will see our relationship between the Seals and RDV Sportsplex, as we'll be getting our merchandise in their gift shop."

For team CEO David Waronker the Seals practicing at RDV Sportsplex Ice Den allows the Seals to expand their youth outreach program. "We've been able to establish a great rapport with the youth ice hockey players at the Kissimmee Ice Factory, and we will continue that this season," Waronker said. "This relationship with RDV Sportsplex just allows us to reach and help more kids in the youth hockey programs around Central Florida."

The Seals, Orlando's only reigning professional championship team open their season at TD Waterhouse Centre on Saturday November 8 against the Lakeland Loggerheads. For more information call the Seals at (407) 447-PUCK (7825).
