Seals Season Reduced by Two at Home

August 17, 2004 - SPHL (SPHL)
Florida Seals News Release

In the first official press conference for the Southern Professional Hockey League it was announced today that the schedule would be cut by four games, two on the road and two at home, from 60 games to 56 games. All Orlando Seals season ticket packages sold to date contain thirty tickets, requiring the Seals to compensate these customers.

According the General Manager Chris LiPuma, "Fans will now receive their choice of two free playoff tickets per seat, or two free tickets to each opening night AND the last game of the regular season as compensation for two fewer games in the schedule." For example, if a season ticket holder has two seats, they will receive four extra seats for opening night and game 28, OR they can receive two tickets to each of the first two playoff games.

Last season, the Seals played 57 games, finishing the season above the .500 mark with a 27-25-5 but missing the playoffs by a very small margin. The team hopes to rebound this season and bring a championship back to Orlando.

The Seals are currently accepting season ticket applications for the 2004-05 season. For more information call the Seals at (407) 447-PUCK (7825).
