Seals Issue Statement Regarding Tonight's Canadian National Anthem
Published on February 9, 2019 under National Lacrosse League (NLL)
San Diego Seals News Release
"On behalf of the San Diego Seals organization, I would like to issue my sincerest apologies to the Vancouver Warriors, the Seals players, the NLL, the officials, the Canadian fans of Lacrosse and every Canadian participant in our game this evening. 'Oh Canada' is a national anthem that represents a proud lacrosse nation. Our rendition of the song this evening was embarrassing to me personally and is unacceptable. We have no excuse, and the Seals will strive for excellence in this area moving forward."
