
Seals form partnership to reach into Spanish speaking community

[ORLANDO, Fla.] - The Florida Seals, members of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), and Azteca America Orlando Channel 21 announced this afternoon a major partnership between the two organizations. Thursday at the television station representatives from the Seals and Azteca were on hand to sign this breakthrough deal at Universal Studios Orlando, home of the Azteca America Orlando office.
"To my knowledge we are the only team in the SPHL who has partnered up with a Spanish language affiliate." said Seals Director of Media Relations Adam Minnick, "Central Florida has a rapidly growing Spanish speaking population and we are excited to turn them into big Florida Seals fans."
The agreement will provide maximum exposure for Azteca America Orlando at all Florida Seals home games. In addition, the Seals will be placing commercials promoting games and other specials events on Azteca Programming.
"I am excited to have a breakthrough partnership like this." said Seals Marketing Director Kevin Simpson, "The Seals organization is very thankful to Mario Ragazzo (President/COO), Alejandro Mele (Broadcast Operations Director) and Alonso Garcia (Sports Director) for making this partnership a reality."
Azteca America Orlando is currently shown on Channel 21 over the air and on DirecTV. In the very near future the station expects to be included in the Brighthouse Cable lineup.
