Florida Seals News Release

[KISSIMMEE, Fla.]- The Florida Seals bitter sweetly announce that Adam Minnick, Director of Media Relations and Broadcaster has resigned from his position. Minnick has decided to pursue other ventures in the hockey world.

"I wish Adam the best of luck in the advancement of his career," said Seals majority owner David Waronker. "He was a great part of our staff and it will be hard to fill the spot with someone of his caliber."

For the past year Minnick was the "Voice of the Seals" on radio and handled all contact with local media outlets. The Chicago area native was instrumental in bringing Seals hockey back to the forefront of Central Florida's media while giving the fans enjoyable hockey broadcasts.

"I want to thank the Waronker, Couch and Goiten families for all the support and the opportunity they gave me here with the Seals," said Minnick. "I am certainly going to miss the fans I met this past season in Central Florida. Also, the staff that I got to work with is some of the best I have ever come in contact with. Finally, I wish nothing but the best of luck to Tommy Stewart and the players on the ice this coming season. I have a gut feeling I am going to miss out on the Seals second franchise championship this season."

As one staff member leaves, three current staff members have been given bigger roles within the Seals organization. Brad Hobbs has been promoted to Director of Business Operations, Jordan Bartels will now be the Director of Corporate Sales & Marketing and Gary Smith has been promoted to Director of Ticket Sales.

All three staff members excelled in their first season with the Seals. All three entered their first season as members of a professional franchise and excelled like veterans instead of the rookies they were.

"I was very pleased with the way the staff made the new Seals a success off the ice," said Waronker. "It is very comforting to know we had a strong staff stay in place the entire season and I look forward to these three individuals becoming the cornerstones of the Seals' front office for years to come."

After a successful run to the President's Cup Final, the Seals are already excited to make their championship run in 2006-07. Make sure you are a part of all the exciting action at the Silver Spurs Arena by reserving your season tickets and corporate packages today.
