Sea Dragons Pick Up 10 At Free Agent Camp

Fort Myers, Florida, April 6, 2002âThe Florida Sea Dragons professional basketball team held it's 3rd annual free agent camp today at Canterbury School in Ft. Myers. Head Coach Kevin Mackey was on hand to evaluate the talent.
52 aspiring players spanning 20 states came in with the dream of playing professional basketball. In the end, 10 players were invited by Head Coach Kevin Mackey to return Monday for the start of the Florida Sea Dragons veteran's camp.
The Florida Sea Dragons will take the court for the season opener at TECO Arena on April 20th vs. the defending USBL champion Pennsylvania Valleydawgs. Game time is set for 7:35p.m. Tickets are available by calling ticketmaster at 941-334-3309 or logging on to www.ticketmaster.com.
The Florida Sea Dragons are one of 10 teams in the United States Basketball League, which plays a 30-game schedule between late April and the end of June. Over the course of its 16-year history, the USBL has sent more than 130 players on to the NBA.
