At A Glance:
- FIVE FOR FIGHTING
Scorpions Polish striker, Tomasz Zahorski, scored his fifth goal in as many games on 8/31 vs. Minnesota thanks to a 25-yard rocket. The NASL "rookie" is second on the team in goals, and has scored more than anyone else in the league in the Fall Season so far. He was named to the Team of the Week on 9/3.
- SECONDS AWAY...
For the second consecutive game, the Scorpions were robbed of the three points by allowing a second half stoppage time goal to Minnesota on 8/31. A week earlier, the Scorpions lost a heartbreaker in New York when the Cosmos scored a late stoppage time winner to claim the points.
- NASL DISCIPLINES TWO SCORPIONS PLAYERS
The North American Soccer League has suspended Kevin Harmse for six games and Esteban Bayona for two games for their actions on 8/31 following the match against Minnesota United FC. MNU's Pablo Campos was suspended one match for his actions. All three players were fined, and the suspensions start with this weekend's matches.
