Scorpions Release Home Field for 2004

San Diego, CA - The So Cal Scorpions, women's professional football team released their official venue for their 2004 season Saturday, naming Edwards Stadium in La Jolla the official location for all Scorpions home games.

The Scorpions, part of the Women's Professional Football League, will kick off their season against the Arizona Caliente July 31st at the Stadium, which is located next to La Jolla High School.

"This is a little bit of a home coming for me", stated Co-Owner, Ann Bagala. "Not only did I bring the idea of women's football to the stadium in 2002, I am alumni of La Jolla High School" continued Bagala.

"We are excited to bring a women's professional sport to the beach communities, as well as San Diego in general" Said Co-Owner Christina Suggett. "Not only are the fans in store for some good competitive football, they are going to get a night full of entertainment" Added Suggett.

This is the Scorpions second season in the Women's Professional Football league, which is the longest operating women's professional sports league in the nation.
