
Scorpions Hold Final Tryout for 2004 Roster This Saturday

(San Diego, CA) The Competition is getting hotter as the So Cal Scorpions wind down to the last tryout for the 2004 roster.
The Scorpions, a member of the women's professional football league, have held two tryouts with the last one slotted for this coming Saturday at the Joan & Ray Kroc Community Center from 9:30 to 12:30.
"We have 20 open slots for this roster" Stated Head Coach Nate Benjamin. "We have had some great potential come out. Some have little or no full contact football experience; we can work with that, if they have the drive". Stated Benjamin.
The Scorpions held their inaugural season in Temecula last year, and were awarded the San Diego market this past March.
The WPFL is the longest operating women's professional sports league in the nation, with the WNBA right behind them.
