Jacksonville Barracudas News Release

The Jacksonville Barracudas are excited to announce that the beloved Scooby-Doo, will be in attendance at Saturday night's game against the Florida Seals.

This marks the second year in a row that Scooby-Doo has hung out with Barracudas fans. A friend of Barracudas' mascot Chomper for many years, Scooby-Doo will be available for pictures, autographs, and high-fives throughout the game.

The Barracudas are also reminding all of their fans to bring teddy bears to the Saturday, December 17th game against the Florida Seals, in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

During the second intermission of the game, Barracudas' fans will participate in a Teddy Bear Toss, as they throw all the teddy bears onto the ice. The bears will be collected by Barracudas' staff members, and given out by Barracudas' players at Ronald McDonald House and Nemours Children's Hospital on Monday, December 19th.

The 17th is Make-A-Wish Foundation night. In addition to the Teddy Bear Toss, there will be a player and Ice Girls auction, where fans will have a chance to bid on a date with their favorite team member. All proceeds will go towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation, with the goal being to raise $5,000.00.

The Barracudas play at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, and tickets are available at the arena box office, the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts box office, and Ticketmaster.com. Season tickets, group packages, and 10-game ticket packs are available through the Barracudas office at 904-367-1423.
