Edmonton Chill News Release
Due to visa issues beyond the league's control, the IBL has announced that China Shanxi Kylins will be unable to make their scheduled appearance to face the Chill in Edmonton on May 30th and 31st. Instead, the Chill will welcome in the defending Western Conference champion Portland Chinooks for a back-to-back weekend series to close out May.
"We certainly are disappointed with this development, but getting to face a team the caliber of Portland, who bring along several players with NBA experience, will be a great test for us to gauge our development. Plus, the league has assured us that will definitely see one of the international teams in 2009," said team owner Troy Barns.
