Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre welcomes the National Lacrosse League

Victoria, BC - The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre will host a National Lacrosse League (NLL) preseason game on Dec 16 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

The Portland Lumberjax and the Minnesota Swarm will square off in Victoria for the first time in history and add yet another dimension to the sporting events at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Tickets will go on sale Nov 16.

The NLL is North America's professional indoor lacrosse league, featuring the best lacrosse players in the world. The NLL has thirteen teams playing in the major markets of the United States and Canada, and each team has a 16-game regular season schedule that begins in December and runs through April, followed by the Champion's Cup Playoffs.

The Portland Lumberjax feature Victorians Bruce Alexander, Aaron Bold, Del Halladay, Matt King, and Victoria Shamrocks (WLA) player Ryder Bateman.

The Minnesota Swarm feature Victorians Kelly Hall, Ryan Ward, Noah Talbot, and General Manager Marty O'Neill, who played thirteen seasons for the Shamrocks, and won three Mann Cups.

The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre has also announced a bonus offer for Victoria Shamrocks fans. When a pair of tickets is purchased before Dec 4 to the Lumberjax-Swarm preseason game, unused tickets from the last Shamrocks playoff game can be entered into a draw to win rental of a suite for the night.

Ticket prices are as follows: Side sections-Adult $15, Students/Seniors/Kids $10, Groups $10 per person. End sections-Adult $10, Students/Seniors/Kids $7.50, Groups $7.50 per person.
