Savannah Wildcats To Hold Open Tryouts

The Savannah Wildcats of the newly formed Continental Basketball League have announced they will be holding open tryouts for the 2010 campaign. Team owner and coach Lamont Moreno made the announcement on Tuesday.
Tryouts will be held April 10th at the Savannah YMCA located at 1110 May Street. Registration starts at noon with the tryout starting promptly at 1:00. The cost to tryout is $50.00 and can be paid with cash, money order or certified check. For information on the tryout, or to pre-register, contact Lamont Moreno at lmoreno@savannahwildcats.com.
Coach and team owner Lamont Moreno says of the tryout, "As an organization, this is where it starts for us. This is where we create the foundation for our ball club and we are very excited about finding some great talent." Moreno continued to say, "I would like to thank YMCA Director Peter Dolliver for the use of his fantastic facility for our first tryout."
The Continental Basketball League is a five team league based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The league will play a 16 game schedule with teams in Birmingham; Marietta, GA; Wilmington, NC; Fayetteville, NC and Savannah, GA.
