Savannah Wildcats Announce Opening Day Roster

Savannah Wildcats News Release
The Savannah Wildcats of the Continental Basketball League have released their roster for the 2010 campaign. Owner/head coach Lamont Moreno made the announcement on Wednesday.
The roster, which was selected from three sets of tryouts in the Savannah area, features four players each from Savannah State University and Armstrong State University in Savannah. Of the 15 players on the active roster and reserve list, ten played either their college or high school ball in Savannah which gives the team a very local feel.
Owner Lamont Moreno says of the roster, "There is so much talent here in Savannah and we are very fortunate to sign some of that talent to contracts for this season. The fans of Savannah will see some very athletic guys who are looking to showcase their talents and move on to the next level."
The Savannah Wildcats are part of the five team Continental Basketball League. The league fields teams in Savannah, Wilmington (NC), Atlanta, Raleigh and Birmingham. The Wildcats kick off their inaugural season on April 30th when they host the Georgia Gwizzlies in a 7:00 tip at A.E. Beach High School.
