Blades Notes

- The Saskatoon Blades continue to prepare for one of the busiest seasons in club history. The Blades are the proud hosts of the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup. The easiest way to ensure your spot at the event is to become a Blades season ticket holder for the upcoming regular season.

- The Blades currently have their early bird deal on season tickets, so now is a perfect chance to buy. Early bird tickets are only on sale until May 31st and it's a great chance to save big in comparison to walk up pricing. Call the Blades office at 975-8844 for more details, including pricing and availability.

- The Blades are very excited to bring back the Season Seat Referral Program. By recommending Blades hockey to your family, friends, or co-workers, you have the opportunity to receive credit towards your tickets. For each purchase of a full 2012-13 season seat made by an individual you recommend to us, we will provide you with a $50 credit towards your 2013-14 season seat account. There is no limit to how many referral credits you can earn! Just ask for more details on how you can save money!

- The Saskatoon Blades are proud of their Teams Of The Decades contest as part of the build up to the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup. Fans are able to vote online for franchise all-star teams from each decade. We've started with the Team of the Millennium (2000 to present) and will continue to trace all the way back to the Blades' origins in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League during the early 1960s. For each decade, we'll provide a list of players. Go ahead and make your selections from that era. Visit www.saskatoonblades.com ==] to vote now.

- A pair of Saskatoon Blades alumni are on to round two of the NHL's Stanley Cup playoffs. Martin Erat and the Nashville Predators eliminated the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night with a 2-1 victory. Erat finished the 5 game set with a pair of assists and a +1 rating. Brayden Schenn and the Philadelphia Flyers are off to round two of the playoffs after they dumped the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 on Sunday afternoon. Schenn finished it with 2 goals, 6 points and a -3 rating in the 6 games.

- Saskatoon Blades Owner Jack Brodsky has a new role to fill with the Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation.

Brodsky was named as the Chair of the Board of Directors at their meeting last week. The Saskatoon Prairieland Park Board of Directors sets policy and direction for the Corporation through strategic planning and Brodsky says that leading a group like this is always a goal for him.
