Santa Clara Teammates Join Raging Tide

February 17, 2013 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) - Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide News Release

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME- The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide has announced the signing of Outfielder Kert Woods and Pitcher Evan Brisentine of Santa Clara University.

As a member of the West Coast Conference, the signing of Woods and Brisentine mark yet another top tier Division 1 program joining the Raging Tide organization in 2013.

Sophomore Pitcher Evan Brisentine comes to the Raging Tide as a native of San Ramon, California. Brisentine attended California High School and amassed a 6-1 record with 88 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched during his senior season, while also capturing First-Team All-League and Third-Team All-East Bay honors.

Freshman Kert Woods is entering his first year in Collegiate Baseball as he comes to the Bronco's after a stellar career at Buhach Colony High School. Woods hit .350 as a senior with 38 runs scored, 19 RBI, 18 walks and 29 Stolen Bases. He was named First-Team All-CCC as well as First-Team All-District before committing to Santa Clara.

Opening Night for the Raging Tide begins at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 6th at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach against the Seacoast Mavericks. The Raging Tide recently announced a season ticket partnership with the Mavericks where season ticket holders will receive free admission to all 7 Seacoast away games.
