Santa Barbara adds Shantay Legans to roster

Santa Barbara, CA-Santa Barbara's new IBL team has added a former local star to their 2007 roster. Los Pueblos High School Alumnus Shantay Legans will join Santa Barbara for the team's inaugural season in the International Basketball League.

Legans, a 5'11" point guard spent three seasons at the University of Cal-Berkely before transferring to Fresno State. As a senior, Legans led the Bulldogs in points and assists per game, with an average of 15 and 5.5 respectively. Legans is currently playing professionally in Holland (Hanzevast Capitals).

Santa Barbara Head Coach Don Sellars-"We are excited to have a player with local ties and so much ability. Shantay will be an integral part of what we expect to be a successful first season."
