SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants return for a seven-game homestand series beginning Thursday, April 14th at 7:00 PM. For the first time since the 2010 California League Championship, the Giants return home to host the Visalia Rawhide. The season's first homestand of 2011 will be full of exciting promotions, family fun and some great baseball.
The San Jose Giants are dedicating the month of April in honor of Bryan Stow. Bryan was attacked and suffered critical injuries following the San Francisco Giants season opener in Los Angeles.
The San Jose Giants will collect donations throughout the month of April to benefit the fund established to support Bryan and his family with a special tribute planned for Opening Day, April 14th at Municipal Stadium.
Promotions and Special Events:
Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza: The Giants will kick off the 2011 Fireworks Extravaganza schedule with the first show immediately following Opening Night Thursday, April 14th. The Postgame Fireworks will be presented by State Farm. Tickets are going fast so be sure to visit the Municipal Stadium Box Office, sjgiants.com or call (408) 297-1435 today.
Magnet Schedule Giveaway: The first 5,000 fans through the gate will receive the 2011 San Jose Giants magnet schedule on Opening Night.
Alaska Airlines Thunderstick Giveaway: The Thunderstick became insanely popular in the early 2000's and we are bringing them back to Municipal Stadium this season for Opening Night. The first 1,000 fans to enter the gates will receive San Jose Giants Thundersticks, presented by Alaska Airlines.
Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza: The Giants will continue the 2011 Fireworks Extravaganza schedule on Friday, April 15th with the second installment, presented by Blossom Valley Pony Baseball. The fireworks games have always been a fan favorite and tickets are expected to go fast, so guests are encouraged to visit the Municipal Stadium Box Office, www.sjgiants.com or call (408) 297-1435 for tickets or more information.
KRTY Family Friday: Be sure to stop by the KRTY booth to check out the KRTY live broadcast and enter to win great prizes. Fans can visit krty.com to print out their KRTY Family Four Pack which includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33. In addition, fans can check online for a special KRTY/San Jose Giants Buy One Get One Free ticket offer good for one free ticket of equal or lesser value for every regularly priced ticket purchased.
Mix 106.5 Saturday in the Park: Fans can download their Mix Family Four Packs online at kezr.com and present them at the San Jose Giants Box Office to receive four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $33.
Martinelli's Kids Run the Bases: Following the conclusion of the game on Saturday, April 16th, kids are invited down onto the field to run the bases, courtesy of Martinelli's.
Pepsi Pregame Clinic: Pepsi and the San Jose Giants have joined forces to present a clinic prior to the game Sunday, April 17th. Bring your glove and learn the fundamentals of baseball from a handful of San Jose Giants players. Registration begins 2 1/2 hours prior to first pitch at the 1st base side entrance next to the player's lot. After the clinic, participants will watch the instructors put their words into action as the Giants take on the Inland Empire 66ers. KBAY's Giant Sunday: Fans can download their Family Four Pack or Buy One Get One Free ticket coupons online at kbay.com and present them at the San Jose Giants Box Office. Be sure to stop by the KBAY booth and enter to win great prizes.
Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free Sunday with your coupon from the Mercury News: Fans can cut out the Kids Eat Free coupon from Sunday's Mercury News and redeem it at the San Jose Giants Box Office. For every youth ticket purchased fans will receive a free hot dog and soda. The coupon must be presented at the time of purchase. The offer allows for only one ticket per coupon.

High School Baseball Night: Also on Monday night, several local high school baseball teams will be in attendance as we celebrate their traditions and legacies.
OSH Merchant Night: The Merchant Night festivities continue Tuesday, April 19th with the return of Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Night. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to selected dates. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last. General Admission tickets are NOT assigned seating. They are on a first come first serve basis in the stadium grandstand and bleachers.
Throughout the season, single game tickets will be available at the Box Office and over the phone at (408) 297-1435 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are also available online at sjgiants.com.
On the Airwaves:
Comcast Coverage: The San Jose Giants and Comcast have once again joined forces to bring fans an expanded schedule of 25 LIVE television broadcasts during the 2011 season. The games can be viewed live on Comcast Hometown Network Digital Channel 104 throughout most Northern California regions. Thursday, April 14th and Saturday, April 15th will be televised against the Visalia Rawhide. Tune in and catch Joe Ritzo call all the action.
The LIVE games will be replayed several times on Comcast Hometown Network (Channel 104), and will also be available any time of the day or night via Comcast's popular ON DEMAND platform, which is free to Comcast digital customers. To view California League baseball games ON DEMAND, Comcast Digital Cable customers can tune to Channel 1 on their Digital Cable lineup or press the ON DEMAND button on their remote control, then click on the "Get Local" section, then click on "Comcast Hometown."
Streaming Live: Every Giants game can be heard live on the San Jose Giants official website at sjgiants.com. Joe Ritzo will be behind the microphone for his eighth season as the voice of the Giants and fans can also find team information such as updated rosters, statistics, game notes, and news by visiting the website.
