San Francisco Stingrayz News Release
The waiting is over, IT'S OFFICIAL! The San Francisco Stingrayz have joined the Women's Professional Football League as associate members.
After a great season, the 6-2 Stingrayz advanced to the W.P.F.L, with great anticipation of the 2005 season. "It sucks taking a year off, but we're definitely in the best league," said Stingrayz Tight End Tanya Kirk (#7).
The Stingrayz enter the oldest women's professional football league in existence which begins their regular season the last week of July and runs through November to their Championship Game. Although it's nine months until the beginning of the season, the players are pumped and are planning to workout right away for possible publicity scrimmages during the spring.
Stay tuned to the Stingrayz web site at www.sfstingrayz.com for information on Tryouts, Practice Times, 2005 Schedule, and where our home Stadium will be!
