SoCal Scorpions News Release

San Diego, CA – There are three things that any fan of football loves; great games, great seasons, and great players. Although, the season outcome was no measure of the hard fought games the Scorpions had this season.

It was also no measure of talent on San Diego's own women's professional football team, the So Cal Scorpions.

Friday night the Scorpions held their annual awards dinner, and the results are in on the winners.

Team MVP #2, Desiree Barry

Defensive MVP, #22 Athena "Deuce" Reyes

Offensive MVP, #18 Yaritza Perez

Rookie of the Year, #55 Jennie Quan

Most Improved Player, #91 Andrea Hubbard

Most Inspirational Player, #93 Lindsay Hood

Two of the teams the Scorpions played this season, the Dallas Diamonds and the Northern Ice, will be going head to head for this years, WPFL Championship game November 20th, in Long Beach.
