June 17, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
San Diego Wildcats News Release

San Diego, CA. The ABA San Diego Wildcats will host their second annual basketball camps for the youth of Southern California "Back to the Basics," throughout the summer months of 2007. The Wildcats will positively motivate their pupils by concentrating on the basic fundamentals of basketball, which include passing, dribbling, shooting, and effective defensive strategies and techniques. The participants will learn the basic skills needed to become great basketball players and will walk away with a better understanding of the keys to succeeding in life including the benefits of having a positive attitude, discipline, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship.

The San Diego Wildcats and the ABA take great pride in reaching out to the youth in our local communities. Therefore, there will be two basketball camp sessions that are very much affordable. The Wildcats extend their invitation to the camps to boys and girls between the ages of 7 to 17. You can register on line at the San Diego Wildcats website, www.sandiegowildcats.com and there is a $75 registration fee with discounts for military and families of two or more.

Complete details of the camps - June 25-29 and July 9-13 can be found on the website. For more information, visit www.sandiegowildcats.com or email Shauna Caldwell at shauna.caldwell@gmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
