San Antonio FC Midfielder Cristian Parano Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC midfielder Cristian Parano was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week, the league announced today. Parano recorded two assists in the 3-1 home victory over OKC Energy FC last Saturday.
Parano earns the honor after his 90-minute performance where he set up goals for teammates Rafa Castillo and Frank Lopez en route to a key home victory over their Western Conference rivals. Parano's five assists are now tied for the most on the SAFC roster alongside Walter Restrepo. Parano also added five key passes -- which were a game-high - along with two shots, 10 successful dribbles and an 87.2% passing accuracy.
The Team of the Week honor comes on the heels of Parano winning two Player of the Week awards during the month of August. Parano finished second in Player of the Month voting after scoring five goals, recording two assists and adding 15 chances created in four August matches.
