TEAM NOTES
Team captains for the Stallions were No. 6 QB Josh Woodrum and No. 51 LB Greer Martini.
On the very first snap in franchise history, QB Josh Woodrum found TE Anthony Denham for a four-yard pass over the middle came on Asiata's
RB Matt Asiata scored the first Stallions touchdown in franchise history. The one-yard blast up the middle came on only his second carry in the Alliance.
The first touchdown catch in Stallions history came on a two-yard pass from QB Josh Woodrum to WR Jordan Leslie with :13 left on the game clock in the first half.
A single game-high 5:59 scoring drive ended on a seven-yard elevated throw from QB Matt Linehan to TE Nick Truesdell in the back of the end zone.
Despite the loss, the Stallions held the Hotshots to 33% conversion rate on third down having only converted four times on 12 attempts.
PLAYER NOTES
QB Josh Woodrum finished the first half of the Stallions inaugural game completing 10/22 attempts for 103 yards, one touchdown and one interception, but left the game early due to a hamstring injury.
Denham hauled in five receptions on seven passing attempts, averaging 11.8 yards per catch. The longest reception of the day for the Stallions came on a 30-yard pass to the deep left before the two-minute warning in the first half.
Stallions RB Joel Bouagnon launched the Stallions rushing attack tallying 16 rushing attempts with a season-high of a nine-yard rush.
