Wolford, Garvin Named OurSports Central AAF Players of the Week

Arizona Hotshots quarterback John Wolford and Orlando Apollos linebacker Terence Garvin were named the OurSports Central Alliance of American Football Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for week one of the AAF season.

John Wolford completed 18 of 29 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns. He also contributed 28 rushing yards in the Arizona Hotshots' 38-22 victory over the Salt Lake Stallions.

The 23-year-old former Wake Forest passer moved the ball consistently throughout the game as Arizona never trailed.

This 36-yard strike to Rashad Ross in the second quarter gave Arizona an early lead:

Terence Garvin finished his night with eight total tackles, two passes deflected and two interceptions, one of them returned 51 yards for a touchdown in the Orlando Apollos' 40-6 dismantling of the Atlanta Legends.

Garvin, who played at West Virginia, has spent time on the active rosters of four different NFL teams.

His pick six became the first defensive touchdown in Alliance history:
