Saint-Onge Named Player of the Week

November 16, 2009 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Marquette Rangers News Release

Marquette - Marquette Rangers forward Collin Saint-Onge has been named the Sherwood North American Hockey League North Division Player of the Week for his performance this past weekend.

The Marquette native scored two goals and assisted on four others over the weekend as the Rangers swept a pair of games from the North Iowa Outlaws at Lakeview Arena. Five of those points (1g 4a) came in Saturday's 6 - 2 victory over the Outlaws. The five points in a single game ties the Rangers record for points by a player in one game, previously set by Saint-Onge last season.

Saint-Onge was also a plus-1 on the weekend.

"Collin was a force last weekend," said Rangers head coach Kenny Miller.  "When he's moving his feet, he's very explosive and he had it going on Saturday and was rewarded for his hard work." Saint-Onge is currently tied for second-place on the team in overall scoring with 19 points on eight goals and 11 assists on the year. The Rangers are entering their first off-week of the season, returning to Lakeview Friday and Saturday November 27th and 28th against the Motor City Metal Jackets.
