Saint Louis FC News Release
ST.LOUIS - Saint Louis FC announced today that they have signed midfielder Chad Bond for the 2016 USL season. Bond, a former U-19 Wales International, started 22 matches and had 8 assists for the Tulsa Roughnecks in 2015.
"Chad is a box to box midfield player who is athletic and hard enough to disrupt the opposition's flow. He will help tighten up our midfield and has a direct nature to his play as he is good at finding forward passes." said Head Coach Dale Schilly. "Culturally, Chad brings leadership qualities and a competitive nature that will help add fight, spirit and cohesion to the group."
In Europe, Bond has spent time with clubs including Swansea City, CF Balaguer, and Port Talbot Town, accumulating 19 goals In 87 appearances with Port Talbot Town. In addition to Tulsa, Bond also played with fellow USL club, Sacramento Republic FC, during their championship season in 2014.
"I'm delighted to be joining Saint Louis." said Bond. "With their passionate supporters and fans and the club's ambitions for the coming season in the USL, I believe this will be an exciting time and I'm proud I'm going to be part of it."
