Saint John Sea Dogs at PEI Rocket Game Re-Scheduled

August 29, 2011 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
P.E.I. Rocket News Release

Saturday night's exhibition game between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the PEI Rocket was a spirited affair that saw the home town Sea Dogs claw back from a third period two goal deficit to win 5-4 in a shootout. Although the forecast for Hurricane Irene postponed last night's game, it did not dampen the feisty spirit of the two teams, as both sides are ready to do battle Tuesday night at 7:00pm at the MacLauchlan Arena.

Head coach of the PEI Rocket, Gordie Dwyer, was pleased with his team's compete level Saturday night. "Although this is exhibition, both teams played hard right until the final whistle. Saint John had a very strong line-up with a number of returning players from last year's team so they obviously don't like to lose. I was quite pleased with the way we competed from start to finish and this is going to be the way we play all season long. It made for a good game and the guys are looking forward to tomorrow night! I am very happy with the way the guys are buying into our program." says Dwyer.

The Rocket still have 29 players left in camp and more cuts will be made after tomorrow night's game. Doors will open at 6:00pm and admission is only $5.
