The Chicoutimi Saguenéens took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Wildcats with a comeback 4-2 win at the Georges Vezina Center in Chicoutimi on Tuesday night.
The Cats led 2-0 early in the second period on goals from Natan Grenier and Miles Müller.
The Sags tied the game on a pair of powerplay goals from Maxim Massé, leading to Craig Armstrong's game-winner on a deflection at 13:37 of the third. Jacob Lafontaine scored in the empty net at the 19:00 mark to close out scoring. Veteran Thomas Desruisseaux chipped in with three assists for the hometown Sagueneens.
The Sags had 37 shots at Jacob Steinman, the Cats 28 at Remi Delafontaine.
Moncton will try to avoid elimination Wednesday night in Game 4 at 8:30 Atlantic time. A fifth game is scheduled for Friday night at 8:30 p.m Atlantic, from Chicoutimi.
